Founder / Owner

The figurehead of Thomson Bike Tours, Peter never stops riding. Since setting up the Company back in 2001 Peter’s covered over 200,000 km on the bike and grown the business into what it is today.

Jacinta McHale

Team Captain

Jacinta has been Thomson Spectator Tours Manager since 2011. She has lived in Spain and Italy and now lives in the French Alps. She designs, manages, and guides the trips and is the driving force behind the seamless tours. Her wild personality and boundless energy make for a truly exceptional experience, and her antics will have you howling with laughter. Well known on the circuit, her connections will get you the ultimate insider access. Her best friend is Phil Liggett!

Martin Lockley

The Domestique

Martin, based in France, is the dynamic other half of our Tour de France Spectator Tour team, alongside Jacinta. Since joining Thomson in 2017, he’s been the ever faithful Domestique helping with logistics, ensuring the routes are stress free, supplies are stocked and the wheels keep turning. With a happy, can-do attitude, and love for the Tour, Martin will crank up the fun factor and keep spirits high. Don’t forget to ask him about his World Cup Downhill skiing career!

Scotty Main

The Pro Cyclist

Scott has been with Thomson since 2019. He lives in Chamonix with Jacinta, and is the assistant guide on the Tour Down Under, Spring Classics and La Vuelta. The Australian member of the Thomson Bike Tours team, and former bike shop owner, he’s passionate about cycling and gives a great insight into the sport. His calm and fun energy make for great company and he loves telling jokes!

Chris Pope

The Soigneur

Chris has lived in France for 20 years and compliments the Tour de France team. He has worked part-time with Thomson since 2017. He works behind the scene, assisting with route planning and logistics, making sure the group is accounted for and hydrated after a long day on the road. A former youth trip organiser, now an electrician, he’s a pro and brings a ‘spark’ to the operation. He’s also an accomplished mountaineer.

Nancy Thomson

Guest Relations Manager / Office Manager

Nancy was born in Mexico, studied International Relations at Boston College, and now lives in Spain. She considers herself a true Citizen of the World! It is her experience living in different cultures which has given her the skills to work as Guest Relations Manager for Thomson – something she has done for 20+ years. Nancy loves to help our guests as they prepare to join their spectating adventures!

Michael Collins

Financial Director

Michael has been with Thomson Bike Tours since 2014. A Chartered Accountant and MBA, Michael was Audit Manager at PwC before joining Thomson Bike Tours. Not a cyclist, but a keen follower of Gaelic Football, which he plays in the Iberian Championship with the local team that he founded in 2015.

Paula Martinez

Finance Manager

Paula is an economist and registered accountant, with a specialist education in accounting and taxation and over 20 years’ professional experience in these fields. At Thomson she is responsible for the accurate and timely recording of every cent that comes in and out of the company, as well as the tax compliance. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities and recently she has become keen on writing First Aid books for children.
