Overview
Embarking on the last Grand Tour of the season in Spain promises an exhilarating journey.
Avoiding the large crowds of the final week, experience exciting stages in Figueres and Andorra. We’ll soak up the thrill of a Time Trial, a mountain finish, and a start in Andorra le Vella.
This tour not only showcases the fantastic race viewings but also blends local culture experiences and we’ll visit Girona and hang out with the locals in Arinsal, home to many pros!

Itinerary Detail
Day 1
Bienvenidos a Girona
Your guides, Jacinta and Scott, will meet you at Barcelona airport and we’ll head to our Hotel in Girona, by private transfer. A welcome lunch will give you the chance to meet your fellow cycling fans and we’ll run through the plans for the next exciting days. In the afternoon we will head into Girona, a captivating city. The capital of its own province in northeast Catalonia, Girona is a sublime medieval city with one of Spain’s last surviving Jewish quarters. The city has faced 25 sieges in its history, which explains why it is completely surrounded by high fortifications that are still standing today. If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones you’ll have seen Girona’s dignified grey stone streets in Season Six when it appears as Braavos. In the evening we’ll head to the local Plaza for tapas, to round off a great first day.
Day 2
LIVE VIP Viewing Time Trial in Figueres
In the morning we’ll head over to Figueres, which hosts the start and finish of today’s Time Trial. Close to the border with France, this Catalan city offers great food, wine, and beaches. Not as touristy as Barcelona, the city offers a relaxing atmosphere, quiet cafes, an historic Old Town and square, and even a castle. In the afternoon we will head over to the VIP area. There are some snacks and a free bar serving beer and wine. We will watch the race on a big screen before each team nears the finish line, fighting for precious seconds, right before our eyes! Dinner in the hotel will round up an amazing day.
Day 3
LIVE VIP Viewing Finish Line in Pal Andorra
Today we leave Girona after breakfast and head to the smallest country in Europe – Andorra! Home to many pro cyclists, it’s going to bring out all the families and fans! We’ll head directly to the hotel to drop our bags then we’ll head straight up the mountain through the fans to the summit! We can grab lunch and revel in the atmosphere before we head to our VIP area. Today is a mountain stage, a big test for the pros and we’ll watch the them battle it to the finish line! After the finish we’ll wind down the mountain for dinner in the hotel and an evening of fun in Arinsal.
Day 4
LIVE VIP Start Village in Andorra la Vella
Today we will head to the Departure Village in Andorra la Vella. We will have access to the VIP departure area, where the sponsors and press all congregate pre race. It’s near to the team paddock, where the teams will arrive 2 hours before and prepare for the stage and sign in for the race. It’s a fabulous experience to see the riders up close and wave them off! After the cyclists head off you will be free to explore this duty free capital and grab some lunch before we head back to Arinsal. We’ll have a farewell dinner in the hotel and enjoy a night with the locals. Maybe Dan Martin will join us for a beer!
Day 5
Until next time..
After a fabulous 4 days it’s time to say Adios.. We hope to welcome you again on the Spring Classics, Santos Tour Down Under or the Tour de France.
