Itinerary Detail
Day 1
G’Day Mate!
Your guide, Jacinta, will meet you at Adelaide Airport. We’ll then head to our hotel in the centre of this beautiful city. A welcome lunch will give you the chance to meet your fellow cycling fans, and we’ll also run through the plans for the following exciting days. In the afternoon, we will take a short river cruise to view this amazing city from the water, before we head into the Tour Down Under Village in the early evening to enjoy the festivities. Dinner will round up the first day.

Day 2
Glenelg, Cruise & LIVE Prologue
In the morning we’ll take the tram to Glenelg. Renowned for its wide beach, stunning sunsets, rich heritage and bustling shops, sidewalk cafés and loads of entertainment. After a chance to explore we’ll head off on a 2 hour coastal cruise, which includes food and beverages, as we explore the beautiful Adelaide coastline. Then it’s onto the men’s Prologue! Taking place in the early evening we’ll position ourselves along the course or watch the riders as they warm up in their team booth’s in the team zone! The 3.6-kilometre prologue will begin just beyond the City of Adelaide Tour Village in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga and continue east to finish after a lap of the Victoria Park criterium circuit.

Day 3
LIVE Start, Finish and 3 passes in Tanunda
Tanunda in the Barossa Valley will be hosting the stage Start and Finish and 3 passes from the peloton. We’ll head over on in the morning in time to witness the cyclists as they head off on their first loop. Tanunda is a fantastic town to watch the race from on the big screens until it passes by three times before a sprint to the finish line. The atmosphere is great! There’s plenty of places where you can grab a snack and drinks on the go and plenty of vantage points. After the finish, our bus will drop us at the village to enjoy the festivities

Day 4
LIVE Mid race view and finish Uraidla
Today we will head to the Adelaide Hills. We’ll witness a mid-race viewing from Uraidla, which has 2 race pass throughs and the finish! We’ll visit the hip Uraidla brewery before we head to the Uraidla hotel, historic and recently renovated with great food and an impressive wine list from its underground cellar, know as the tank! Settle in for lunch and enjoy the race in a great atmosphere and breath-taking views! In the evening, you will be free to enjoy the village festivities.

Day 5
LIVE Race Start in Henley Beach
We’ll have a short journey today heading to the coast to watch the start of today’s stage. Henley Beach itself has so much to offer the visitor and local alike. A beautiful sandy beach, coastal walks, a jetty, delightful dining and shopping, a cosmopolitan atmosphere, live entertainment, and magnificent sunsets. We’ll watch the cyclists sign on and head off, before we have free time to explore this stunning coastal town. You’ll get some downtime in the hotel before we had out into Adelaide city for dinner.

Day 6
LIVE VIP Hillside Social Willunga Hill
Today we will experience the awesome Hillside Social on Willunga Hill! We will head to the village of Willunga to soak up the atmosphere before we head to the summit to our VIP area. The Hillside Social is directly on the finish line and offers amazing views opposite the commentary team, vouchers for local food trucks, a bar, shaded seating, a DJ and the podium! What more can we ask for?! Enjoy the atmosphere as hundreds of locals attempt the climb as the music plays, the sun shines and local celebs come and watch the race. It passes us 3 times! It’s just the best day!

Day 7
LIVE VIP Detours VIP Start, 7 passes, Lunch and private finish
It’s the final stage and we will join in with the local DeTours VIP day. We will head to Stirling where we’ll enjoy a private viewing space to watch the riders get off the mark. Take a small stroll to the beloved Stirling Hotel – host of the day’s lunch – which is nestled right next to the start-finish line. Enjoy a multi-course lunch with drinks offerings as you watch the peloton make seven passes right in front of you. Then head to a private space to watch the riders cross the line for a final time in this year’s race! Head back to the Stirling Hotel, where a tasting experience featuring Adelaide Hills producers awaits to cap off the day, and then return to the city’s heart and a farewell dinner!

Day 8
C’ya later mate!
It’s time to say goodbye to the Land Down Under. We hope to see you again at the Spring Classics, Tour de France or La Vuelta.
